Creating Lifelong Learners

School Profile

Our school offers exceptional resources – including the district’s only onsite planetarium – all near beautiful Como Park. As a result, nature is a special focus for our school. Our community connects regularly with Belwin Outdoor Science, Bakken Museum, Children’s Museum, Big River Journey, Como Zoo, Starbase, and NASA Space Camp. Specialists in reading and math work with classroom teachers at each grade level to support learning, and most of our students achieve medium to high growth in reading and math. Specialists in science, social studies, and physical education enrich the core curriculum. Technology is integrated into learning throughout the day with the use of interactive white boards, computers, laptop carts and iPads.

Parents

It was so exciting to see so many parents at Como Elementary for Parent Involvement Day! Parents had lunch with their children and experienced learning activities in the classroom. Many families visited our new Parent Resource Room and signed up for Parent Academy. Thank you to all that attended. We hope you enjoyed your visit.

Picture Day is Feb. 25, 2014!

Order forms have been sent home but you can also order online ahead of time. Use the information on this flyer for ordering.
