Strong Schools, Strong Communities is the Saint Paul Public Schools' strategy for improving education for all students without exception or excuse.

Part of the initiative is for all 6th grade students to attend a middle school. This mean students currently in 5th or 6th grade at Como Elementary will need to choose a new school for the 2013-2014 school year.

Another part of the plan is to streamline transportation procedures. This means some students may no longer be able to take the school bus to Como Elementary.

Saint Paul Public Schools have a number of resources available to help parents during these changes. You can find more information at the following links:

Measures of Academic Progress (MAP) Information Sheet for Parents and Guardians

What is the MAP?
The MAP is a pair of tests, one in reading and one in math, which students in grades 2-6 will take these tests on a computer at least two times during the school year. Find out more here.
