There are 4 third graders and 1 fourth grader in our class.

On Friday, September 25, we went to the Valley Branch nature center.  Our class learned about what lives in the pond there.  We used nets and scooped up water.  Guess what we found?

• water bugs
• snails
• tadpoles
• lots of green algae

meet in the cafeteria at 6:00 for free pizza. 
Then one of our staff uses ASL to read a book. 
That book is also interpreted in English and Hmong. 
Then we divide into 3 groups:  the DHH students
have an art activity related to the book while their
parents and siblings meet in separate groups for a
sign language lesson.  We hope you can come--
it is a fabulously fun evening for everyone!

NOVEMBER FUN! 
The Zenon dancers helped our class learn different dances.  Then we performed for the whole school.  It was exciting and fun!

Three firefighters came to Como on November 11.  They talked about fire safety, and showed us the gear they wear and use.  Then we looked at all the equipment on their fire truck.  We all had a turn to climb up and sit inside the big truck.  WOW!
