Our school year is off to a great start.  We are learning routines and making new friends.  We'll learn lots of new things and share many new ideas this year.  This will be a good place to see what we are doing.

     We had a wonderful time at Valley Branch Environmental Learning Center on September 25th.  We learned about seeds, took a hike on the prairie, and built a stream.

We have kindergarten and first grade age students in our classroom.
Our communication philosophy includes the use of sign language, gestures, fingerspelling, listening, speech, and speechreading.  The focus is to provide each child with an appropriate, efficient means to communicate and gain information.  This year we expect that everyone will improve their receptive and expressive language skills, will learn to read and write at their own level, each student will develop math and number knowledge, and everyone will develop their social skills.
