The National Park Service provides the opportunity for students to learn about and experience life on the Mississippi River through their Big River Journey program. Students learn about the science and history associated with our "Big River". Amazing Artists! Congratulations to Lute (grade 3) and Nerah (grade 4)! Their designs were chosen as winners of the "Flights of Fancy" poster contest as part of the Flint Hills International Children's Festival, an Ordway Center event. Only one winner is chosen for each grade level from the many pieces of art that are submitted so these two are truly special artists! Their works are on display at the Ordway Center. Visit the Como Planetarium! While we might prefer to keep the Como Planetarium all to ourselves, Mom always said you should share a good thing. Dennis Brinkman has wowed visitors and taught about the stars for years but now the secret is out. You can read an article in the Pioneer Press here. StarBase and Como Students Featured on WCCO!
