Administrators

Education:

Jennifer graduated from the University of Minnesota with a Bachelor's Degree and then continued on to receive her Master's Degree in Elementary Education from the U of M. Jennifer received her administrative license and Educational Specialist degree from the University of St. Thomas.

Career

Jennifer's entire professional career has been with St. Paul Public Schools. She started her career as a sixth grade teacher at Mississippi Creative Arts. Jennifer has also been a fourth and fifth grade teacher, a teacher on special assignment, a behavior specialist, and an academic coach. Jennifer served as the assistant principal at Hamline for two years before coming over to Como Elementary as the assistant principal in 2021. In January of 2023, Jennifer was named the new principal of Como Elementary.

Family:

Jennifer was raised in St. Paul and is a proud graduate of St. Paul Public Schools. Jennifer loves spending time with her daughter, friends and family when not at work. Jennifer continues to call St. Paul her home and loves spending time walking around our amazing city.

Hi! I am excited to start my first official first year as the Assistant Principal at Como Park Elementary. I graduated from the University of WI-River Falls with a Bachelor’s  Degree and received a Master’s in Early Childhood Special Education from St.Thomas. Then I received my administrative license from the University of MN.

I have over 19 years of teaching experience and four years of coaching experience. I started my Early Childhood Special Education career with 3-5-year-olds in Minneapolis and then transitioned to teaching abroad in Zurich, Switzerland. For the past 12  years, I have worked in St.Paul Public Schools as a PreK teacher and coach.  In January 2023, I was named the Assistant Principal of Como Park Elementary School.

Currently, I am a proud resident of St.Paul and I enjoy spending time with my Goldendoodle Nala, family, and friends.
