Staff Profile

Greetings!  My name is Ethan Sutton (Ethan or Mr. Ethan to students, and I use he/him/his pronouns).  I have been working in schools since 2005 and have been a Special Education Teacher since 2007.  I have also lived in St. Paul since 2007 but for some reason didn't work for St. Paul Public Schools until 2023.  I couldn't be more excited to be here in SPPS!  I'm particularly excited to be at Como Park Elementary School. 

Outside of teaching I am a husband, a father to 4 awesome kids, and a musician (I mainly play cello, guitar, bass, and other instruments with strings, but really I enjoy anything that makes nice sounds).  I also enjoy tinkering with various bits and pieces and love the satisfaction of building something new and/or fixing something that is broken. 

As a teacher, I love building relationships with students and their families in order to help them to learn and to grow.  Whether you are a student, parent, or colleague, I truly look forward to continuing my own learning and engaging in this work together!
