Ms. Maschke-Jordan

Melissa Maschke-Jordan has been teaching at Como Park Elementary since 2002. She taught pre-kindergarten for nine years and has been teaching kindergarten since that time.  Ms. Melissa graduated from Bemidji State University with a B.A. in Early Childhood Education in 2001.  Since then she has earned a M.A. in Differentiated Instruction and a M.A. in Early Childhood Education. 

Ms. Melissa has 3 children, Wesley, Tyler, and Spencer.  Her family keeps busy with hockey and soccer.  She likes to spend her free time at the lake.  Melissa also enjoys reading and spending time outdoors.

Ms. Melissa enjoys helping students increase their academic skills while empowering them to become leaders and gain confidence in themselves and their abilities. She focuses on building a classroom where all students are respected for their strengths, engaged in learning opportunities, and work together as a community. Ms. Melissa loves being a kindergarten teacher!
