Hello!

This is my fourth year as an English Language teacher at Como Park Elementary and I'm so excited to get to know all of you. I will be helping learners access academic English, working on all aspects of language (reading, writing, listening, and speaking) in their classroom with their grade-level teacher and in small groups.

Before coming to Como, I worked in South Korea at an English Academy. When I moved to Minnesota, I began volunteering at Como Senior High School in a literacy class and worked as a teaching assistant at Mississippi Creative Arts. I love helping students find their passion for writing by tapping into their interests and helping to develop each individual's unique creativity. It's essential for me to help students see themselves in their work, whether it be through writing their personal narratives, relating to a character in a story, or resonating with a significant cultural event. Most of all, I strive to spark curiosity and merely guide students as they passionately drive their own learning.

Camping, hiking, and cycling are my favorite activities - especially when I have the chance to do them together. I also enjoy films and watching live performances.
