Hello and WELCOME to kindergarten! I am your teacher, Mrs. Vasquez! (Vas-keh-z)

 I am absolutely delighted to meet you and cannot wait to get to know you more as we learn and play together this year. It wouldn’t be fair though if you didn’t also get to know a little about me too!

I have taught Kindergarten for almost a decade now here in Saint Paul. I was born in the late 80's, so I grew up as a 90's baby. I am a local – I live in Como (maybe you'll see me around)! I have two daughters, a one year old and a four year old – we live with my husband and two pet cats! In my free time I enjoy watching movies ( I love Harry Potter and Disney), playing with my girls, reading books, trying new restaurants and doing arts and crafts.

My favorite color is pink – honestly I just love colorfulness in general! I love to eat anything with coconut – Mexican street corn – and mi suegra’s home cooking! When it comes to sports, I’d have to say my favorite sport to watch is hockey, but I am a bit too uncoordinated to play any sports myself. I love summer and fall – but am not too big of a fan when it comes to cold and snow! If you have any other questions – you can always ask me!

I went to elementary school in White Bear Lake, then did my upper grades in Chisago City. I graduated college with a bachelors degree in Early Childhood Education from Concordia University right here in Saint Paul.

This year is going to be MAGICAL! I cannot wait! See you soon!
